Welcome to a new follower, Tilly.
Having thought the wild red cherry plums were finished, we came across some more whilst driving home. Here they are with yet another bowl of cucamelons:
Also this lovely birthday/late Mother's Day gift arrived today from DS & FDiL:
I had no idea what I was getting but knew something would arrive now their financial situation is sorted. Thanks guys, we shall really look forward to eating home made soups out of those:)
They are gorgeous and happen to match my kitchen perfectly so chuck them my way when your done! (yep I have the cheek of old Nick)
ReplyDeleteHa, sorry, no can do!
DeleteI picked some cherry plums yesterday- and find my MILs cherry stoner invaluable for preparing them for cooking. I'd recommend getting one if you don't have one already - they save hours of time!! Summer blessings xx
ReplyDeleteWe do have one but can't find it! Only took about 20 minutes to do though.
Deleteoh what are you doing with your cherry plums ? I've made wine, jam, plum syrup, Chinese plum sauce and dehydrated some (I did pick quite a lot :) )
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know later when I've decided what to do with this current batch.
DeleteI love those soup pots they are so cute. I have something similar (tho not so posh) and I also use them for dips and sauces when we BBQ, so they get a lot of use (cranberry sauce on Xmas day etc) xxxx
ReplyDeleteWe rarely have more than 4 of us for big dinners. At the moment, they rather have a feeling of 'my precious' about them and I am enjoying looking at them, rarely to go! xx
DeleteThe soup pots are lovely - such a gorgeous shape and colour!
ReplyDeleteThey have now bought us a few things in this line. We reckon they will hold about 3 ladlesful of soup.
