Poof...

And then they were gone - followers that is!

Friday evening 242, Saturday morning 239, how odd. One hour later, down to 235, two hours later down to 230, odder still. Must be writing boring stuff, not following them, or Google is having a glitch! I admit I don't follow everyone who follows me and that is often enough to lose a few, especially if they come and go in a few days!

It is not about the numbers though, follow me or not, entirely up to you. I write this blog for family, if you wish to read, you are most welcome. If not, that is also up to you:)

  1. Maybe it is Google, I don't know. A week or so ago I was getting between 80 and 100 readers and now it's more like between 40 to 60. Who knows why?
I enjoy your writing and visit regularly, so thank you very much.

  2. Same here, I seem to have lost about 6 followers in the past week or 2. I assumed I was just dead boring, but I've read lots of bloggers saying they've lost followers too. No idea what's going on but hey, that's life - like you, I write my blog for me. It is lovely to know people actually read and follow it, though.

  3. No, it isn't you, the same thing has just happened to me! Yesterday every time I went to blogger to check and publish any comments I had lost another follower! I don't normally take any notice, but somehow it caught my attention. Weird isn't it. I wonder if it is a blogger thing somehow. Soon we will be down to no followers!! Hope that it sorts itself out. You are not boring, don't fear! Happy Christmas! xx

  4. I knew I was boring but............as you are at least the 5th person who's lost followers suddenly it must be a Google glitch and not anything we've said.

  5. Hi everyone, just checked on Google Blog Forums and it would seem, most people, world wide are having the same problem. Apparently Google don't work weekends, and also, last time it happened, they appeared to not do anything. Come on Google!

  6. Whoops - haven't checked mine, and confess I never do! I'm sure our regular followers and readers are still out there. And I orally agree with your sentiments, I write for friends and family and consider that 'friends' has expanded to include people from all over the world and that this is lovely too. Old friends will ALWAYS be here!

  7. I don't often look at the follower numbers, sometimes up sometimes down. New faces often coincide with a drop in number. Blogger does what it does, I do not worry about it.

  8. Add me to the list of 'people who have lost followers this week'- it is definitely a blogger/google problem and not something you or I have said!! I will continue to follow you through 2016, and wish you and yours many Christmas Blessings! Looking forward to being in Norfolk myself this time next week

  10. Definitely a glitch, don't feel alone. Though I wondered myself too. Been flirting with 550, then all of a sudden down by 15 or so. Not sure what is going on.

  12. As I've just commented to another blogger I love your blog and have no intention of deserting! Recently I've been really grateful for all the gluten free recipes you've been testing. Some of your recipes have already be tried and appreciated. Have a very Happy Christmas. I'm sure your Guest who needs a GF diet will enjoy his/her meals!
