I'm just reading a book about a girl who tried to live as war time for a year, I say tried because she had days "off" sometimes. I think you did better than her! The book is called " Living on the home front" by Megan Westley
I think a lot of people could manage one year. Eating that way for a long time gives a really good insight into how monotonous and hard work it must have been. At least I didn't have to queue!
